Has made really good strides since stepped up to 3m and wasn't disgraced in a valuable stayers' handicap at Haydock 6 weeks ago. This is easier nudged back down 2 lb and he's won on his last 2 appearances over C&D (including this race last year).

Much improved when racking up a quick hat-trick in handicap hurdles (at up to 25f) for this yard in spring 2021 and back to winning ways on return after 11 months off/wind op at Carlisle 5 weeks ago, well on top finish. Second to Wakool in this last year and bold bid expected again.

A cracking handicap despite the small field, with VEE DANCER selected to carry on his improvement back over hurdles. He got a remarkable hat-trick up in just 9 days in Britain a year ago, looking all stamina, and probably remains ahead of his mark. Haute Estime returns to hurdling with unfinished business over this sort of trip having run a blinder in the Sefton in the spring. Last year's 1-2 Wakool and Storm Nelson have to be feared, while a revival from The Jam Man wouldn't be a shock.
