Hinted at ability in bumpers but he's shaped like a longer-term project in a couple of spins over hurdles so far this winter.
Scorpion gelding who has improved with each start in bumpers, again finding only one too good when keeping on at Catterick (15.7f) in November. Goes hurdling now.
Fairly useful 1m Flat winner for this yard but does stay 1¼m. Not a great deal of short-term promise to glean from pair of hurdle outings so far this winter and he may be one for handicaps later on.
Showed little in bumpers/over hurdles to date.
Fairly useful 14f winner on Flat and pleasing start when third on yard/hurdles debut in a Southwell maiden (15.8f) 3 weeks ago, keeping on gradually having been caught some way back. Entitled to do better.
Fair handicapper on Flat (stays 1½m). Not always fluent when last of 4 on hurdles debut at Fontwell (17.7f) in September and below his best back on the level in recent weeks.
Authorized half-brother to 3 winners, including very smart hurdler/high-class chaser Sceau Royal (15f-17f winner). Fair form in French juvenile hurdles, 3 lengths fifth at Bordeaux (18.4f) in April. Very interesting on return for powerful yard.
Modest maiden on Flat, stays 6f, well held in handicaps last 2 starts. Hard to warm to now tackling timber. Hood replaces cheekpieces.
Fair maiden on the Flat for William Haggas and showed an aptitude for hurdling after 4 months off when second in 8-runner event at Ludlow (15.8f) in November. Not in same form when filling same spot at Southwell 8 days later but given a break since. Not dismissed.

A half-brother to very smart hurdler/high-class chaser Sceau Royal, TOOTHLESS showed fair form in juvenile events in France early last year and, with progress anticipated representing a powerful stable, he could be the way to go on return. Liverpool Knight looks the chief threat on the back of an encouraging third at Southwell 3 weeks ago. Balgowan can emerge best of the remainder.
