Fairly useful bumper winner who has shown similar form over hurdles. Brought down 3 out on handicap debut at Hereford after 8 months off and could have more to offer, so can't be dismissed over this longer trip.

Another fair run in 19.3f maiden hurdle at Catterick on return last month after a breathing op, but he'll need to pull out more to take this up in trip.

Modest maiden jumper. No appeal in this company back from nearly 2 years off.

Sent off at huge odds but showed plenty of ability when runner-up in 14-runner novice hurdle at Chepstow on debut last month, really catching the eye by the finish. That form has worked out well so he's worth sticking with despite a disappointing showing at Wetherby since, this trip sure to suit.

Fair Irish bumper winner but no show in 3 runs for this yard.

Brother to fairly useful hurdler Terresita (2m-23f winner). Point winner last month but starts out over hurdles in a warm race.

Fairly useful 17f winner in bumpers and has offered plenty in a couple of 19.5f hurdles this term. Looks a stayer and can do better still.

Point winner who belied 80/1 odds when making a really promising start over hurdles at Wetherby (21.3f) 4 weeks ago, an argument to be made that he could have pushed the winner close had he not been allowed to drop back turning for home. Open to improvement.

Changed hands for £135,000 after landing Irish point in February and showed plenty to work on when finding only a Paul Nicholls-trained winner too good on debut over hurdles at Chepstow over this trip 4 weeks ago, plugging away in that one's wake. More to come.

Winning pointer but was well beaten when unseating rider at the last in a novice hurdle at Exeter on Rules debut.

Held in bumpers and likely to need more time for all this much longer trip here will suit him.

40/1
Winning pointer who has shown a bit in a couple of mares' hurdles. This longer trip will suit but she will make more appeal in handicaps.
|
Timeform
Fair bumper winner who was well backed but ran a bit below that level sent hurdling in maiden at Lingfield (19.5f, good to soft) last month. Should do better.

Forecasts

Well Dick (3/1), Goshhowposh (3/1), Rockinastorm (7/2), Benign Dictator (13/2), Galudon (8/1), Solar Sovereign (9/1), Time For Hollie (12/1), Bold Soldier (18/1), O'Connell (20/1), Rouge De L'quest (25/1), Dime Store Cowgirl (40/1), Also Known As (50/1), Imperial Lord (100/1), Bryn Black Sam (150/1), El Scorpio (250/1)

Verdict

WELL DICK is up to landing a race like this judged on his Chepstow showing and the point scorer looks the way to go under Brian Hughes. Benign Dictator didn't get a chance to show what he could do on handicap debut after 8 months off at Hereford and remains with potential. Goshhowposh and Solar Sovereign are a couple of others to note in a maiden that should throw up winners.
