Showed benefit of recent wind-op when producing a career best to score in 12-runner handicap chase at Lingfield (20f, good to soft) 35 days ago. Up 5 lb but should prove suited by this longer trip and remains open to improvement.
Produced a likeable performance when making a successful start over fences here (23.4f) in November and went like the best horse at the weights until his jumping deserted him in 5-runner event here last time. This race is deeper but he's respected in first-time headgear.
Looked a good prospect when scoring at Hexham on his chasing bow but ran just respectably behind a pair of upwardly-mobile rivals at Ayr last time. Remains hard to fully rule out.
Fairly useful hurdle winner failed to match that form in 3 starts over fences last season and looks opposable on return under young conditional.
Dual novice hurdle winner last term and showed a good attitude to get off the mark to win 4-runner handicap chase at this course (23.4f, soft, 7/2) 25 days ago. Should have more to offer.
Fairly useful hurdler scored twice at around 2m last season and encouraging start over fences when chasing home a progressive type on return at Doncaster (19f, good). Open to improvement in this sphere.
Winning pointer raced only 3 times over hurdles and looked a different proposition when bolting up on chase debut in 6-runner handicap at Plumpton (19.8f, good to soft, 4/1) on debut over fences 9 days ago. The one to beat under a penalty.
Encouragement when third at Ayr on chase debut but looked rather laboured when only fourth of 5 in handicap chase at Wetherby (24.2f, soft, 7/4) 36 days ago. Cheekpieces back on.
Fairly useful at best over hurdles but he hasn't made much of an impact in 2 starts switched to this sphere since returning from a lengthy layoff.

Bill Baxter (11/4), Old Painless (3/1), Ned Tanner (3/1), Eyeofthescorpion (13/2), Wild Romance (8/1), Captain Quint (9/1), Readysteadybeau (10/1), Universal Folly (10/1), Brayhill (11/1), Donna's Double (20/1), Le Cheval Noir (25/1), No Regrets (33/1)
Winning pointer OLD PAINLESS proved a different proposition with a dominant display on his chase debut last week and a 7 lb penalty shouldn't be enough to stop him quickly following up. Fellow recent winners Bill Baxter and Ned Tanner are also shortlisted in a potentially useful affair.
