Verdict

J P McManus could hold the key to this very interesting opener. TEKAO was unable to justify market confidence on his Navan hurdle debut a month ago but still shaped very well in third and, with considerable improvement possible, is narrowly preferred to ownermate Goodie Two Shoes, who quickly reached a useful level on the Flat. Zanndabad and Almuhit are others who should have bright futures over hurdles if they can translate anything like their Flat ability to this new discipline.
