Bagged this contest last season and backed that up with further success over C&D in February. Unseated rider latest but had made a solid return here previously and is back down to his last winning mark.

Posted career best when winning 10-runner handicap chase over C&D (good) 44 days ago, pushed out. 7 lb higher now but remains relatively low mileage and holds strong claims.

Bumper/maiden hurdle winner. Still looking for first victory in this sphere but wasn't disgraced over longer trip in Graded company at Warwick when last seen in January and is worth a second look in the market on return.

Multiple winner over fences but been some time since he last scored and has disappointed in both starts this term.

Bumper/fairly useful hurdles winner who has made a bright start over fences, comfortably landing 3-runner Plumpton novices' handicap (19.7f) 42 days ago. Possible he can do better again in this sphere.

Developed into a useful chaser last term, signing off with a couple of small-field victories in 21f Hereford handicaps. Both this season's efforts have lacked spark, though.

Off the mark over fences at Sedgefield (21.1f) in March and started this campaign with good second of 8 in handicap chase at Kelso (21.6f, good to soft) 51 days ago. Entitled to build on that.

Gained reward for consistency when scoring from the front over C&D in March. Fell at Newcastle final start. Shaped as if needed the run when last of 6 on his Ayr reappearance in October. Will need to have come on a fair bit.

In good form when fitted with a visor in spring 2021, winning at Newcastle and posting good second at Haydock. However, ran no sort of race on return from 19-month absence last month.

Thirteen runs since last win in 2020 and hard to make a strong case for after finishing last of 6 to Slanelough in handicap chase (13/2) at Newcastle (20.1f, soft) 39 days ago. 6 lb out of the weights.
