Resurgent over hurdles during second half of last term, completing the hat-trick at Cheltenham (20f) in April. Probably needed his return at Kempton, then unseated at Aintree last time.

Grade 2 novice hurdle winner at Ascot in 2019 who ran best race for Harry Fry when runner-up at Taunton (19f) in January. Below par when last seen at Aintree in April, though, and percentage call is to look elsewhere on debut for new yard.

Showed quite useful form at the start of his career but lightly raced in recent times. Didn't need to be close to his best to land short odds in a 19f Fontwell a couple of months ago. Plenty more on his plate here but a dangerous one to discount.

French Flat winner who upped his game to open his hurdling account at the fourth attempt in a handicap at Wetherby last time. Should go well again.

Took advantage of a reduced mark at Wincanton in March and wasn't discredited at the same course next time. Might need this return from a lengthy absence, though.

Winner of first 3 starts under Rules in 2019/20. Failed to kick on in handicaps in the 2020/21 season and probably needed the run back from a long absence at Sandown 46 days ago. Might come on for that and he's on a reasonable mark.

Dual 2m juvenile winner in 2019/20 but struggled in handicaps in 2021 for Alan King (tried over fences). Changed hands for £44,000 and may yet come good given even after a lengthy absence.

Form took off when completing a hat-trick in autumn 2020. Lighly raced since but shaped is if there was some ability left when fifth at Exeter a month ago, so not a forlorn hope from a reasonable mark.

One-time useful hurdler but hasn't appeared to retain much ability this term.

Still winless but was in good heart last season, finishing in frame on his last 4 completed outings. Nudged back up the weights but ran creditably on back of 7 months off when sixth at Doncaster (19.4f) 3 weeks ago. May well strip fitter now.

ROCKY MAN upped his game to make a winning handicap debut at Wetherby last time and there should be further improvement on the cards, so he takes preference over Stratton Oakmont, who is likely to come on for his reappearance. Oscars Moonshine shaped like he retains plenty of ability when fifth at Exeter last month and his chance can't be ignored.
