Winner of a 3-runner handicap at Huntingdon in March but has failed by a long way to reproduce that level of form in 3 subsequent starts, including when equipped with first-time cheekpieces (retained) at Lingfield last time.
Back-to-back juvenile hurdle winner in 2021 and produced his best effort yet when landing a Leicester handicap (15.5f, good to soft) on return last month. Nudged up just 2 lb and he needs considering, for all that this is a tougher assignment.
Gained sole hurdles success in a Huntingdon maiden for Tom Lacey back in November 2020. Largely below par last season but has won twice on the Flat since joining present yard and he has to enter calculations.
Latest hurdles success was for David O'Meara at Market Rasen off 5 lb higher in July 2021. Encouraging effort for new yard following a year off at that course in September but needs to bounce back following a heavy defeat at Bangor next time.
Fairly promising as a novice in 2021 but showed nothing on handicap debut at Warwick, which was pretty disappointing even allowing for the fact that he was returning from a 16-month absence.
Came good at third time of asking over hurdles for Chris Gordon at Fakenham in November 2020. Went backwards thereafter but refound his form on Flat for new yard and he was a respectable third back in this sphere at Ayr (2m, soft) last time.
Appeared to take a step forward when runner-up in a decent Hexham novice (16.2f, heavy) last month. Mark for this handicap debut looks fair and he's high on the shortlist.
Winner of 17f handicap hurdle at Cartmel in July and put in a good shift when third at Stratford on penultimate start. However, that effort is bookmarked by a couple of poor performances and yard saddles a stronger candidate in Sacre Pierre.

Copper Beach (13/8), Stonific (5/1), Glory And Honour (11/2), Zamond (7/1), Kannapolis (10/1), Sacre Pierre (10/1), Restitution (10/1), Can't Stop Now (11/1), Doctor Dex (12/1), Gregor (16/1), Rory And Me (16/1)
There could be better to come from COPPER BEACH, who posted his best effort yet by some way when finding just one too strong in a Hexham novice and, on that evidence, his mark for this handicap debut looks very fair indeed. Doctor Dex has to be taken seriously on his first run for Nick Kent, despite returning from a lengthy absence, while Glory And Honour and Sacre Pierre are others to consider.
