Every Race Live On Racing TV 'Introductory' Juvenile Hurdle (GBB Race)

Off time: 13:10 | Winning time: 4m 0.55s

Freddy Robinson⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: J J Burke| T: B Ellison

11/2

Fair maiden on Flat and stamina didn't appear to be an issue when fourth in a 6-runner Newcastle juvenile on recent debut in this sphere. Shouldn't be too far away but up against a couple of potentially useful recruits in Gaius and Kincade here.

Form: 4

Gaius¹¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: Aidan Coleman| T: O Murphy

6/4

Fairly useful Flat performer for Richard Hannon, off the mark in 1¼m Windsor handicap when last seen in August. Interesting recruit for respected jumps yard and confidence behind him in the betting would look significant.

Form:

Grifter³¹

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: J Kington| T: D Brooke

66/1

Winner of just one of his 17 starts on the Flat and switches to hurdles on the back of a low-key effort for new yard at Newcastle last month.

Form:

Kincade^p1²⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: B S Hughes| T: Jedd O'Keeffe

6/5

Consistent on the Flat in handicaps at up to 17f this year, successful at Pontefract in August and runner-up at Newcastle on latest start last month. Very much of interest on hurdles debut with Brian Hughes in the hot-seat and first-time cheekpieces enlisted.

Form:

Super Stars⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: Henry Brooke| T: A Keatley

12/1

Fair maiden handicapper on Flat and showed an aptitude for this game when fifth of 6 in a Newcastle juvenile 9 days ago, finishing 2¾ lengths adrift of fourth-placed Freddy Robinson. Improvement needed.

Form: 5

Famille Verte^p¹²

Age: 3| Weight: 10-7| J: Emma Smith-Chaston| T: Micky Hammond

150/1

Modest maiden on the Flat. Left Roger Varian for only 2,500 in August and offered little on recent hurdles debut at Wetherby.

Form: 5

Forecasts

Kincade (6/5), Gaius (6/4), Freddy Robinson (11/2), Super Stars (12/1), Grifter (66/1), Famille Verte (150/1)

Provided that they both take to this sphere at the first attempt, GAIUS and Kincade are likely to emerge as the chief protagonists. Gaius was just about the pick of the duo on the Flat and he is marginally preferred. Freddy Robinson could be in line for minor place money.
