Pulled up both starts between the flags and little encouragement in 3 bumpers/Uttoxeter maiden hurdle under Rules.

Made a winning bumper debut in tenacious fashion at Worcester in May. However, well below expectations switched to hurdles there 6 months later.

Fairly useful on Flat, probably stays 1¾m, failed to build on previous promise last time. Market perhaps best guide to expectations now hurdling.

Showed promise both starts in bumpers and did the same sent hurdling when eighth of 15 in 2m novice at Chepstow 29 days ago, unable to sustain effort after making headway 2 out. That form is working out well and he shouldn't be underestimated with improvement likely.

Dual chase winner in the mud in France who made an encouraging yard debut when third at Haydock (15.6f) in December. Failed to build on that promise at Exeter and Sandown but improved on the back of a breathing op/8 months off when second in 19.6f handicap at Bangor 22 days ago. Leading claims.

Timeform
Successful on the second of 3 bumper starts in France but ran no sort of race on his British debut in Aintree Grade 2 on final outing. Still early days though and could get back on track now hurdling.

Walk In The Park gelding who showed much more than on his sole outing in bumpers when sixth of 14 on his Chepstow hurdling debut (19.4f) 29 days ago, no extra final 1f after making quite a promising move early in the straight. Drop in trip looks a good move and he's the type to improve.

Forecasts

Georges Saint (8/13), Howlingmadmurdock (10/3), Mount Tempest (9/2), Awesome Foursome (9/1), Downsman (10/1), General Medrano (11/1), Imperial Bede (25/1), Adamhill (200/1)

Verdict

MOUNT TEMPEST made a promising move before his absence seemingly told on his Chepstow hurdling debut, so is put forward as the suggestion with improvement likely over this shorter trip. Georges Saint sets the standard on his recent Bangor second, while General Medrano and Howlingmadmurdock are others to consider in an interesting novice.
