Five-time Flat winner who scored twice over hurdles in France back in 2018. Failed to win over hurdles for current yard but he did make a successful start his chase career at Plumpton (17f) under Jay Tidball 16 days ago. Should be competitive up 5 lb.

Useful 2m winner over hurdles. Not quite so good over fences so but she was second in a Uttoxeter handicap on her reappearance and fared about as well as could be expected in a Bangor listed race since. Yard in form.

No easy ride but won twice over hurdles last season. Left his chase debut well behind when easily winnng a C&D handicap 4 weeks ago. That race fell apart to some degree but a 7 lb rise still looks more than fair.

Fairly useful hurdle winner in France. Below that level in that sphere for current yard but did travel well long way when third on Warwick reappearance and this drop back to 2m should suit now chasing.

Forecasts

Grizzly James (6/4), Galice Macalo (11/4), Presuming Ed (3/1), Prime Pretender (7/2), Tap Tap Boom (5/1)

Verdict

Just the 5 runners but it still looks quite a competitive little heat. PRESUMING ED's latest C&D win looks a bit better given that the one who was in closest purusit when slipping and unseating before 4 out won at Taunton last week so Adam West's 7-y-o may be up to defying a 7 lb rise. Galice Macalo should find this easier than the listed chase she contested last time and is feared most for in-form Jane Williams.
