Brother to useful hurdler Alqamar (2m-17f winner). Smart on Flat in 2019, stays 15f, but well below form since. Left Charlie Appleby for £75,000 in May 2021 and well prepared to make a winning hurdles debut in December. Off since but he's capable of better.

Useful stayer on the Flat in France for Andre Fabre in 2020. Shaped as if needing the run after a long absence when a tailed-off last of 5 in a Doncaster handicap last month and he was very impressive when making a successful transition to hurdling at Hereford a fortnight ago. Good jumps prospect.

€64,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Dam useful hurdler/very smart chaser (winner up to 3m), half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stays 2½m) Le Patriote. Displayed ability in a Bangor bumper in April and overcame inexperience to make a winning hurdles bow at Sedgefield.
Made a ready winning debut in a Chepstow bumper a year ago. Similar form in listed company at Newbury before improving in a first-time tongue strap when second in Aintree Grade 2 on final outing last term. Had a wind op and promising start in this sphere when second at Chepstow last month.
Expensive purchase following point win and showed smart form in bumpers last season, winning both starts, including a Grade 2 at Aintree in April. Shade too free without the hood when third starting out in this discipline 14 days ago and he's open to significant improvement.
Positive start when runner-up at Chepstow first time out last year and finished with running left when fifth in a listed event at Ascot next start. Backward step final bumper outing and given a considerate ride on hurdles debut at Bangor.
Cost £110,000 after finishing second on his sole start in Irish points and shaped encouragingly when filling same spot in a Carlisle bumper in March. Not always fluent on hurdles bow a month ago and a tongue tie is now on.
Half-brother to fairly useful hurdlers Whipcrackaway (2¼m winner) and Louisville Lip (2m winner). Fairly useful handicapper on Flat, stays 1¼m, well beaten last 2 starts (possibly amiss).

Hullnback (5/4), Lookaway (2/1), Nemean Lion (10/3), Twinjets (6/1), Snowy Evening (18/1), Moonlight Spirit (18/1), Spirit Of Regulus (28/1), Riskintheground (66/1), Thunderclap (100/1)
This looks a cracking contest with several of these likely to end up useful. Preference is for NEMEAN LION, who possessed more than his share of ability on the level and made a striking hurdles debut at Hereford a fortnight ago. Hullnback and Lookaway were both talented in bumpers and seem sure to do much better over obstacles.
