Seemingly much improved for a breathing op when winning at Wetherby in January and February. Well held on handicap debut at Sandown on final outing of the campaign, but remains capable of better starting off over fences on return.
Recorded back-to-back wins in the spring before starting the current season with a couple of below-par efforts, After 4 months off, looked back to best at Ffos Las last time, unseating 2 out when going well in front. Cheekpieces back on.
Three-time winner over hurdles for Gordon Elliott and gained first success for current yard in handicap at Worcester last summer. On a workable mark for chasing debut if ready to go after 16 months off.
In first-time tongue tie, made a winning start for new yard at Warwick in September. However, not in the same form at Wetherby the following month so bounce back called for.
Well-ridden by this jockey to cause a 22/1 upset at Hereford in February but proved it was no fluke when third at Market Rasen next start. After 7 months off, ran to similar level when third of 6 on chase debut at Hexham 25 days ago.
Showed plenty in finishing placed first 5 starts under Rules, before getting off the mark in maiden hurdle at Market Rasen in April last year. Won sole outing in points so could go well on chase/handicap debut.
In good form this summer, scoring at Cartmel in June, but seems to have gone off the boil. Again ran poorly when pulled up at Worcester last month, so has a bit to prove at present.
Hurdles winner but produced another laboured display when second of 4 at Kempton in April 2021 on final run for Nigel Twiston-Davies. Offered little after 19 months off at Lingfield earlier this month. Best watched back over fences.
Won over fences at Pau prior to joining Venetia Williams and twice finished runner-up sent chasing last season for current yard. After 8 months off, shaped encouragingly when finding only one too good at Hereford 21 days ago. Leading contender.
Has improved for switch to chasing, off the mark at second attempt at Warwick in February and 4 lengths up when falling at the last at Uttoxeter in March. Badly hampered at Hereford on return so could resume his progress.
French Flat winner who scored over hurdles at Uttoxeter and Plumpton in the spring. Has offered little sent chasing on last 3 starts, though, shaping as if amiss at Fontwell at the beginning of the month.

Forecasts
Gemirande (7/4), Our Jet (9/4), Coupdebol (11/2), Feivel (8/1), Ripper Roo (14/1), Ballinsker (20/1), Somekindofstar (22/1), Sainte Doctor (28/1), Rakhine State (50/1), Lermoos Legend (50/1), Sir Valentine (100/1)
A winner in France over fences, GEMIRANDE has finished runner-up on 3 of his 4 chase starts in Britain but can get his head in front this time around. The 6-y-o bumped into a well-handicapped rival at Hereford on his return, so he is taken to get the better of chase debutant Our Jet, with Coupdebol completing the shortlist.
