Useful hurdler at best but was struggling for form when last seen, racing too freely. Has been given a chance by the handicapper after 21 months off, but has a bit to prove having rejoined yard after leaving Fergal O'Brien.

Fair winner on Flat who made a promising start over hurdles, building on his debut second to record back-to-back wins at Ludlow and Taunton earlier in the year. Too free in his hat-trick bid at Ascot, but could resume progress on return.
Career best when winning handicap hurdle at Sandown March. Wasn't in same form when falling next time and shaped as if needing run after 8 months off when down the field at Plumpton last month. Could fare better this time.
Largely creditable efforts either side of juvenile victory at Stratford in July 2019. Improved model on the Flat the following summer but finished down the field on handicap hurdle debut. Returns from over 2 years off (has had wind op).
Fairly useful 11f Flat winner for John & Thady Gosden and perfect start for new yard when taking a Huntingdon novice hurdle in February. Failed to build on that effort at Newbury in April, but could have more to offer in this sphere.
Better than ever over hurdles this season, getting back to winning ways at Uttoxeter in October and (after a respectable effort on the Flat) easily following up at Ffos Las later in the month. Leading contender.

Forecasts
Good Impression (2/1), Dr T J Eckleburg (5/2), At A Pinch (4/1), Totterdown (15/2), Purple King (17/2), What Will Be (12/1)
GOOD IMPRESSION has proved better than ever over hurdles this season, winning easily at Ffos Las at the end of last month, and he can go on to land the hat-trick in this sphere. The pair of 4-y-os in the line-up could be the main dangers to the selection, with Dr T J Eckleburg feared most ahead of At A Pinch.
