Eden Farm Hulleys Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Off time: 13:11 | Winning time: 5m 9.30s

Densworth^t³⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Kielan Woods| T: B Pauling

4/1

Kayf Tara gelding who left a limp debut miles behind tongue tied/after a breathing op when forging clear to land a Worcester bumper in June. Shaped as if better for the run switched to hurdling last month and he's likely to improve with the tongue strap back on.

Form: 0-15

Fortuitous Find¹⁸⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish

11/2

Shirocco gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler Prussia With Love, stays 23f. Dam unraced sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 2¾m) Kings Lodge. Off mark in Irish points at third attempt (May 29).

Form: P-21

Hurricane Bay²⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Bryony Le Clerc| T: L Wadham

4/6

Showed fair form in bumpers and promises to be better as a hurdler judged on his first attempt when runner-up at Wetherby last month, seeing things out well despite having gone keenly in front. Obvious player.

Form: 53/53-2

Newtonian^p1²⁰⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Miss Victoria Malzard⁽⁷⁾| T: O Sherwood

20/1

Fair form when placed in a brace of bumpers. In need of the experience on January's hurdles debut and fell on both subsequent outings in the spring. Cheekpieces go on today and he remains with potential as a stayer.

Form: 235F-F

Solid Fuel¹⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Harry Reed| T: Joanne Thomason-Murphy

250/1

Fair form when second in a Huntingdon bumper in May but has failed to back that up in 4 subsequent starts, finishing tailed-off last on both outings over hurdles in recent months.

Form: 4-26736

Times Are Blue²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: O Sherwood

10/1

Overcame inexperience to make a winning debut in a bumper, then made a solid start to hurdling when runner-up at Hereford last month. Tailed-off third at Exeter since though, so others make more appeal.

Form: 123

Forecasts

Hurricane Bay (4/6), Densworth (4/1), Fortuitous Find (11/2), Times Are Blue (10/1), Newtonian (20/1), Solid Fuel (250/1)

This looks to revolve around HURRICANE BAY, who came within a neck of making a winning start over hurdles at Wetherby last month and, with improvement on the cards, Lucy Wadham's charge holds obvious claims of going one better today. Irish point winner Fortuitous Find looks the main danger ahead of Densworth.
