Very durable campaigner who opened his account for the season at Perth (3m) in July and made it 2-2 at around 3m at Wetherby in October. Should go well again eased in class.

10-y-o who hasn't made the track much in recent seasons and he failed to build on the promise of his second at Perth (3m) in September when well beaten fifth over 3m at Ayr a month later. Needs to bounce back.

17/2
Maiden hurdler who overcame a few mistakes and showed improved form to make a winning debut over fences at Bangor (3m) when last seen in April 2021. Clearly been hard to train having been absent since and the market may prove a good guide here.

Fair form when off the mark in a Kelso maiden (22.7f) in February but not in anything like the same form either outing thereafter in March. Needs to bounce back returning from 8 months off.

C&D winner earlier this year who ran well when runner-up in handicaps at Worcester/Bangor in July. Lesser effort from career-high mark when fifth at Hexham (23.3f) in September but bounce back certainly not ruled out.

Forecasts

Go Chique (11/8), Caius Marcius (10/3), Bird On The Wire (6/1), Jack Devine (6/1), Kala Noire (17/2), Lalochezia (14/1)

Verdict

CAIUS MARCIUS arrives having made it 2 wins from his last 3 starts (now 2-2 at around 3m) at Wetherby in October and, with his yard continuing in good form, he gets the nod to come out on top again. Go Chique and Bird On The Wire are a couple of others fancied to feature.
