Mongol Emperor^h,t1²⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 12-2| J: T Scudamore| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 122

10/1

Fairly useful hurdler who didn't look a natural when failing to beat a rival at this course on chasing debut. Tongue tied and may have learned from that.

Form: 11/424-7

Escapeandevade²⁷⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 12-0| J: B S Hughes| T: J Ewart| OR: 120

7/4

Point winner who made all to make a winning hurdles debut in an Ayr novice in January. Good efforts in defeat since and appeals as the type to make a better chaser. Strong claims back from 9 months off.

Form: U21122-

Dakota Moirette³¹⁸

Age: 9| Weight: 11-11| J: J Kington| T: A Crook| OR: 117

50/1

Punchestown maiden hurdle success for Gordon Elliott back in December 2016 remains his sole victory from 36 starts under Rules. Given a chance by the handicapper but has a bit to prove after 10-month absence.

Form: 3356/34-

Hidor De Bersy²²⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-10| J: D A Jacob| T: T Symonds| OR: 116| BF

7/2

Huntingdon bumper winner who made it third time lucky over hurdles with plenty in hand at Fakenham (16f) on New Year's Day. Pulled up when last seen at Hexham 7 months ago but should make a chaser.

Form: 1/2312P-

Parliament Hill¹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 11-7| J: S Bowen| T: O Murphy| OR: 120| BF

9/2

Dual winning hurdler who wasn't always fluent when third in a handicap at Fontwell on chasing debut 19 months ago. Should benefit from that experience, so he's likely to make an impact.

Form: 1621-3

Ritson^p¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: C O'Farrell| T: R Menzies| OR: 105

7/2

Fair hurdler who showed aptitude when fifth in a handicap at Hexham on his firs try over the larger obstacles. Should strip fitter for that, so capable of getting involved.

Form: 62342-5

Forecasts

Escapeandevade (7/4), Hidor De Bersy (7/2), Ritson (7/2), Parliament Hill (9/2), Mongol Emperor (10/1), Dakota Moirette (50/1)

Point-winner ESCAPEANDEVADE was steadily progressive over hurdles and looks the type to do better again now his attentions are turned to chasing, so he's marginally preferred to Parliament Hill and Ritson, who are both likely to benefit from their first experience in this sphere.
