Veteran who ran well to hit the frame on first 2 starts last term. Exploits distinctly mixed thereafter but mark has tumbled as a result and no surprise to see a good showing on return to action.

Back on track in recent months, defying a 6 lb higher mark at Sedgefield (16.8f) in October. Possibly found race coming too soon at Wetherby 7 days later and not underestimated having been given more time ahead of this.

Fair form in bumpers and reached a similar level over hurdles, off the mark in a Newcastle maiden (16.2f) 2 years ago. Absent/undergone another wind op ahead of belated return and his yard are in good form. One to note.

Winless on the Flat this summer but he arrives here in good nick over hurdles, finding only one too good at Kelso (16.2f) on his latest start in October. Should give another good account operating from same mark.

Strong traveller who tasted success 3 times during 2021. Best effort yet when runner-up on return/yard debut at Kelso (16.2f) last month but not in anything like the same form at Carlisle 18 days later. Needs to bounce back.

Dual scorer on the level here in 2021 and off the mark over hurdles when taking a C&D handicap in February. Comes here from efforts on the Flat of late and her record around here entitles her to respect.

Won pair of Perth handicaps in the spring before scoring on level at Carlisle. Not matched that Flat form since but comes here on the back of a creditable fourth over hurdles at Kelso (16.2f) in October. Each-way claims.

Fair but temperamental maiden handicapper on Flat who arrives on the back of being pulled up over hurdles at Ayr (19.5f) last month. Others make much more appeal.

CHTI BALKO's form proved very up and down last term but there's no doubt Donald McCain's veteran is potentially very well handicapped and the time to catch him could be fresh. Smart Lass goes particularly well around here and she's a big threat, whilst Fostered Phil is an intriguing contender back from a lengthy absence.
