Ex-Irish chaser who started well in hunters for new stable last season but ended that campaign with a couple of no-shows. Needs to bounce back following a 7-month absence/wind op.

Stuck to his task well when second in a 15-runner Thurles handicap chase (20.7f, good to soft) on penultimate start. Not so good when mid-field at the same course recently, though, and this 11-y-o is on a stiff-looking mark.

Six-time winner over hurdles, the latest at Perth during the spring, but he hasn't looked a natural over fences and was comfortably held back in this sphere at Ayr last month.

Fairly useful hurdles winner for Dr Richard Newland and built on stable/chase debut when runner-up in a Hexham handicap (15.6f, good to soft) when last seen in October 2020. Could have more to offer but lengthy absence to overcome.

Proved his 33/1 handicap debut success over hurdles here (2½m, soft) in February to be no fluke when following up back at this course a month later. Since undergone a second wind op and should have a big part to play if he takes to fences at the first attempt.

Progressed over hurdles last season, off the mark in a Market Rasen handicap on Boxing Day, and offered something to work on when third starting out over fences at Ayr (20.5f, good to soft). Open to improvement in this sphere.

Snapped a long losing run/opened chase account when scoring on debut for new yard following a 7-month break over C&D (soft) recently. Nudged up just 3 lb and it's not hard to envisage him delivering another big run.

All 3 career wins have been gained over fences here, the latest a C&D handicap in March. Patchy form since, though, and he was rather disappointing when only fourth of 5 returned to this venue last time.

HOLD ONTO THE LINE left his previous hurdles form well behind switched to handicaps here on his final 2 starts of last season, and this ex-pointer (runner-up on the second of his 2 runs between the flags) is taken to make a successful start in this sphere. Should the 5-y-o falter, it's likely that Massini Man, who got his head in front for the first time since November 2018 over this C&D recently, will be the one to capitalise. Fever Roque is most interesting of the remainder.
