Passing Glance gelding. Dam, 3¼m chase winner, half-sister to fairly useful chaser (stayed 3¼m) Kick For Touch. Bred to need more time and distance and didn't show much in a pair of bumpers in the spring.
Definite promise amidst greenness when third in a Worcester bumper (2m) a year ago. Didn't kick on after and on the back of a wind op, he was never involved on recent hurdles debut.
£80,000 5-y-o, Yeats gelding. Brother to a winner, and closely related to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/very smart chaser Master of The Hall. Dam unraced. Readily off mark in Irish points at second attempt and made very promising hurdles debut when second at Carlisle last month.
€30,000 3-y-o, £90,000 4-y-o, Flemensfirth gelding from a good family. Runner-up in Irish points at second attempt and forged clear to land 5-runner bumper at this track in March. Good hurdles prospect for top yard.
Sholokhov gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 3½m) Royal Vacation out of 2m hurdle winner Summer Break, also 9f-1¼m winner on Flat. Stuck to his task when third of 7 in a Chepstow bumper in April. Tongue tie on having had a wind op.
Easily best effort when second of 21 at Punchestown in April on final start for Robert Tyner. New yard in superb form so he needs considering on second hurdles start.
Dropped away in a Punchestown bumper on Rules debut back in March 2021 but has scored twice in Irish points since then. Sold from Paul Cashman for £50,000 and looks an interesting contender.
Second when fell last sole start in points (March 2020), Seventh of 12 in a bumper at Clonmel in March 2021 but changed hands and landed a punt fitted with a hood in a Ffos Las bumper last month. Should have a good future as a hurdler.
Point winner who found less than looked likely when fourth in conditionals/amateurs bumper at Aintree in May. Left Alan Hill after and just a fair hurdles debut for new yard 12 days ago. Up in trip.
€9,500 3-y-o, Shantou gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to French 15f-17f hurdle/chase winner Mazalunna and winning 2m-2¼m hurdler Honey Pound (both fairly useful). Maiden Irish pointer.
Unplaced completed start in Irish points and ran to only a modest level when fourth of 6 in bumper at Ffos Las (15.8f, good) on Rules debut in April. Big price but offered a lot more when fourth on last month's hurdles debut.
Hinted at ability in bumpers and probably a long-term project over hurdles.

Forecasts
Issuing Authority (2/1), Harjo (9/4), Passing Well (7/2), Rock On Harry (8/1), Mikhailovich (12/1), Student Chap (14/1), Present Fair (22/1), Santos Blue (66/1), Boleyn Boy (100/1), Doyouknowwhatimean (125/1), Shantou Moon (125/1), Best Mate Dave (250/1)
Plenty of depth to this maiden hurdle with HARJO just about the most persuasive option on the back of a very promising runner-up effort at Carlisle last month. There are point and bumper winners in opposition though, notably Issuing Authority and Present Fair.
