Eleven runs since last win in 2021. Respectable sixth of 12 in handicap (16/1) at Kempton (6f) 31 days ago, not ideally placed. Looks vulnerable from a win point of view.

Seventeen runs since last win in 2021. Creditable third of 12 in handicap at Chelmsford City (7f, 11/1) 14 days ago, well positioned. Down another 1 lb and he's in with an each-way shout.

Respectable fifth of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford City (5f, 16/1) 11 days ago. Back up in trip and likely to find one or two too good once more. Yard also saddles Intervention.

C&D winner. Eight wins from 23 Flat runs. Creditable second of 6 in handicap at this C&D (11/5) 35 days ago. Unlikely that she'll be far away but this career-high mark may prove to be just out of reach.

25/1, fifteenth of 18 in handicap at Redcar (7f, heavy) 18 days ago, finding test too much. Runner-up at Windsor on penultimate start, and wouldn't be without a chance if able to reproduce that form now switched to the AW.

Twenty-eight runs since last win in 2020. Eighth of 11 in handicap at Kempton (6f, 16/1) 17 days ago. Probably best to look elsewhere, for all that he's edged down to a dangerous mark.

Forecasts

Abbey Heights (9/4), Intervention (4/1), Mighty Gurkha (9/2), The Lamplighter (15/2), Foxy Rascal (8/1), Cherish (12/1), Torvi (16/1), Watermelon Sugar (22/1), Kit Gabriel (25/1), Treacherous (28/1), Zim Baby (66/1)

Verdict

Ready preference is for FOXY RASCAL, who put in a good shift back from a break and following a wind operation when third over 5f here recently, leaving the impression that she would benefit from the return to this trip. Mighty Gurkha is clearly not the force he was during his 2-y-o campaign but his latest effort at Chelmsford represented a step back in the right direction. He is next on the list ahead of Intervention.
