Goshen²¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-6| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR: 157| BF| C

6/5

Very smart hurdler on his day who could manage only fourth in this race a year ago but he ended the campaign with listed/Grade 2 wins. Fit from the Flat but displayed no aptitude for chasing here 3 weeks ago and that plan quickly shelved. Can do battle for the places.

Age: 9| Weight: 11-0| J: Aidan Coleman| T: O Murphy| OR: 155| BF| D

1/1

Very smart hurdler who bagged conditions event at Lingfield before good second in National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell (19.2f). Flopped in Grade 1 at Aintree final start and unseated rider at the first back at that venue on reappearance. Runner-up contender if he is back on his game.

Form: 1F12P-U

For Pleasure^t1³⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Kielan Woods| T: A M Hales| OR: 133WS

11/1

Free-going front runner who opened his chase account in 17f Plumpton novice in December. Form was up and down over the larger obstacles and he was quite readily brushed aside back hurdling at Kempton. Hard to see him lasting out up in trip at this level. Tongue tie fitted on back of a wind op.

Form: F4P4-34

Uhtred¹⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Bridget Andrews| T: D Skelton| OR: 141| D

25/1

Useful hurdler who ended time with Joseph O'Brien in good heart, successful in 19.3f beginners' chase in August. Low-key start over the larger obstacles for current yard and has a lot on his plate even if bouncing back to his best returned to timber.

Form: 3-411P3

Forecasts

Constitution Hill (1/4), Brewin'upastorm (1/1), Goshen (6/5), For Pleasure (11/1), Uhtred (25/1)

The eagerly-awaited return of CONSTITUTION HILL, who produced a performance of rare merit in the Supreme when last seen and is as exciting a National Hunt prospect as there is around. With this step up in trip no issue, he's fancied to win this comfortably at the chief expense of Goshen and Brewin'upastorm.
