British Stallion Studs EBF 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race) (Div 2)

Off time: 13:56 | Winning time: 4m 18.80s

Bingoo²¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Charlotte Jones⁽³⁾| T: James Moffatt| CD

4/1

Progressive form in bumpers, opening his account at the third attempt here 7 months ago, so he's one to note on return/hurdling debut.

Form: 321-

Copper Beach¹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Thomas Willmott⁽³⁾| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR: 102

14/1

Just modest form over hurdles to date, looking more of a handicap type, so he's unlikely to feature in this.

Form: 874-6

Iheardupainthouses³²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Emma Smith-Chaston⁽⁵⁾| T: Paula Smith

80/1

Sixth of 10 in bumper at Kilbeggan (15.1f, good, 9/2) on NH debut. Off 6 months. First run for yard after leaving Gordon Elliott. Looks up against it on hurdling debut.

Form: 6-35

Leading Force²⁰¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: C O'Farrell| T: A M Thomson

15/2

£20,000 buy from the Irish pointing field (won one of his 8 starts). Joined a respected yard for his Rules career. One to note in the market.

Form: FP5132-

Milldam²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: G Sheehan| T: Jamie Snowden| OR: 118| BF

5/6

Much improved when third in juvenile at Auteuil for A. Chaille-Chaille last October and much better effort for current yard when second in a novice at Fakenham 3 weeks ago. Capable of going one better.

Form: 3330-2

Och One More Gin¹⁸⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Ross Chapman| T: D Bourke

200/1

Has shown more temperament than ability in bumpers/over hurdles. Hard to fancy back from 6 months off.

Form: 04-7

This Is Bob³⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: Craig Nichol| T: S Corbett

200/1

Imperial Monarch gelding who went with little encouragement when tailed off in a Carlisle bumper 5 weeks ago. Best to look elsewhere with attentions quickly turned to hurdling.

Form: 7

Top Cloud²³³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Sean Quinlan| T: C Grant| D

20/1

Won a point bumper and showed plenty when third in a C&D bumper on Rules bow. Interesting hurdling newcomer.

Form: 213-

Ring Pretender²⁵⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 10-7| J: Sam Coltherd| T: W Coltherd

9/2

Promising sort. 80/1, fourth of 9 in novice hurdle at Newcastle (16.2f, good) on hurdles bow, finishing with running left. Off 8 months. Open to progress.

Form: 44-

Non-Runners

Noble Affair¹⁹

Weight: 10-7| Age: 6

T: Mrs J Walton J: C O'Farrell

Forecasts

Milldam (5/6), Bingoo (4/1), Ring Pretender (9/2), Leading Force (15/2), Copper Beach (14/1), Top Cloud (20/1), Noble Affair (20/1), Iheardupainthouses (80/1), Och One More Gin (200/1), This Is Bob (200/1)

MILLDAM sets a clear standard and might have more to come, so he's fancied to open his account. Course bumper winner Bingoo makes some appeal switched to hurdles after 7 months off and Ring Pretender is no forlorn hope on the back of a promising start in this sphere 8 months ago.
