Fairly useful hurdler stepped up from his chasing debut when third of 14 in novice chase at Wexford (16f, heavy) 13 days ago. More needed to make presence felt in this company.
Fair hurdler won 25-runner handicap at Naas in March. 9/4, bit below form seventh of 15 in handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse (16f, good to soft). Off 6 months. WIll find easier opportunities over fences.
Useful form when winning his first 2 starts over hurdles last season. Bit disappointing at Fariyhouse on final start last term but very much appeals as type to improve further over fences, though trip here may be on sharp side.
Placed in Grade 1 novice event and in County Hurdle at Cheltenham last term. No reason why he shouldn't be able to translate that form to chasing, so has to be considered.
Useful handicap hurdler, last seen finishing mid-field at the Punchestown Festival. Should be capable of winning races over fences, but makes chase debut in hot event.
Winning pointer won Grade 3 novice hurdle last term before reaching the frame in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham. Appeals as type to make a better chaser, though his future in this sphere surely lies over further.
Fairly useful hurdler won at Clonmel in May. 6/1, respectable fourth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Galway (16f, heavy) 14 days ago. Tough ask on chase debut.
Point winner shaped with promise in a pair of beginners chases last month but it's hard to see him making much impact in this company.
Fairly useful hurdler. 9/1, respectable ninth of 24 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (19.8f, good to soft). Off 6 months. Makes chase debut. More needed to make an impact here.
Useful hurdler in France, winning listed 12-runner juvenile hurdle at Auteuil on final start last term. Very interesting chase debutant for top yard.
Fairly useful hurdler won listed juvenile fillies' event at Doncaster last term. Disappointing on Flat last time and looks tough to fancy against this opposition on chase debut.

Forecasts
Flame Bearer (13/8), Hollow Games (7/4), Colonel Mustard (2/1), Heart Wood (4/1), Carrig Sam (8/1), Get My Drift (12/1), Limerick Lace (28/1), Six Feet Apart (33/1), Aarons Day (33/1), Yeah Man (66/1), The Dasher Conway (100/1), Better Times Ahead (150/1)
FLAME BEARER was a progressive novice hurdler last term and is fancied to make a winning start over fences, having made the switch to Willie MUllins during the summer. This is a good-quality heat and Colonel Mustard is preferred to Hollow Games, with the trip looking likelier to suit Lorna Fowler's gelding.
