GOEMON left his unpromising debut well behind when landing a C&D novice on his second and final appearance for Roger Varian in May, form which hasn't worked out at all badly (race has thrown up half-a-dozen subsequent winners). Provided all is well following a break, he should be capable of defying a penalty before going on to better things. Later Darling will be a threat if able to get back on track but, as things stand, Idee Fixee and Lady Loulou appear to be the main dangers.
