Ended last season on the up over fences, scoring at Doncaster and Wetherby in the spring. Respectable fourth in a good race at Kelso on return and this event is of lower quality. Headgear applied.
Three-time hurdles winner for Henry De Bromhead. Yet to score over fences but made a decent start for this yard when second in novice at Galway (18.2f, heavy) on return 2 weeks ago and worth a try at this trip on that evidence.
Has taken sizeable steps forward of late, landing a brace of handicap chases over 2½m at Worcester before good ½-length second of 20 to Jimmy The Digger in similar event at this C&D 3 weeks ago, deserving extra credit for racing closer to pace much further out than the other principals. Big shout.
Getting the hang of things over fences now, winning last 2 starts, including handicap debut at Kilbeggan in August. Must be respected.
Bumper/hurdles winner who opened his account over fences at Uttoxeter in July 2021. First win since when beating Anightinlambourn by ½ length in 20-runner handicap chase at this C&D under this rider, albeit suited by way race developed. 7 lb higher now.
Comfortably landed the odds in 9-runner maiden chase (8/11) at Roscommon (21f, good). Respectable second back in handicap company when second at Limerick 3 weeks ago, no chance with winner. Up in trip.
Relished the step up to a marathon distance to get off the mark over fences at Chepstow (30.6f) in March before good third in first-time cheekpieces at Ffos Las following month. Shaped as if needing run after 6 months off at Sedgefield. Change of headgear.
Made a winning start over fences at Exeter on return last seasson but largely poor since.
Only second run over fences when impressive wide-margin winner at Southwell back in mid-April. Returned with good second of 3 at Warwick (24f, good) last month and remains on a workable mark.
Ended losing run at Wexford in May. Well held over hurdles 3 weeks ago after 4 months off and doesn't look particularly well treated.

Valsheda (7/2), Jimmy The Digger (9/2), Castle Robin (9/2), Anightinlambourn (5/1), Malina Girl (11/2), Brave Way (11/2), Bobhopeornohope (10/1), Trixster (11/1), Silver In Disguise (11/1), Punitive (14/1), Big Nasty (16/1), Clonguile Way (22/1), Didero Vallis (25/1), Beatthebullet (33/1)
ANIGHTINLAMBOURN had her winning run ended in a similar event over C&D 3 weeks ago, but she went like the best horse at the weights and remains very much one to be interested in. The progressive Valsheda is the obvious threat, with Castle Robin another to consider back down in class.
