Sky Sports Racing Handicap Hurdle

Down to the same mark as when winning this race 12 months ago. Arrives on the back of a creditable effort on the Flat this month. Player if reacting positively to blinkers.

Two good runner-up efforts in May (C&D first occasion). Contender if returning from a break in similar form.

Well-bred type who showed much improved form to get off the mark at Wincanton (2m, heavy) in January. Only a respectable third on 19f Fontwell handicap debut in March but he returns as an unexposed sort.

Bumper winner. Fair form in maiden/novice hurdles since and lightly-raced profile provides hope for better now handicapping. Also tongue tied first time.

Won a C&D maiden hurdle in late-2019 but no form in 3 handicaps since. Has plenty to prove back from a 2-year absence.

Dual hurdles winner for Colin Tizzard and took advantage of a reduced mark back over timber when causing a 25/1 surprise at Uttoxeter (23f) in March. Pulled up at Warwick 2 months later and not seen since.

Irish Flat winner who improved from out of the blue in this sphere when runner-up in a Lingfield handicap (19.5f) last November. Failed to reproduce that in 4 subsequent starts last season but his mark has come down and he's fit from a recent spin on the Flat. Harry Cobden has a 1-4 record for yard.

Showed ability in maiden hurdles at up to 3m. Unable to replicate that level for current yard, although he can have his reappearance run ignored (badly hampered second).

Runner-up twice in handicap hurdle for Sandy Thomson in summer 2021 but has struggled on the Flat since joining current yard and it remains to been seen whether a return to timber improves matters.

Won at Leicester (20.5f) for Milton Harris in January. Placed twice subsequently but pulled up here starting out for this yard in April. Off since.
