Much improved from hurdling debut when winning 14-runner juvenile at Auteuil (17.4f) in April, making all and drawing clear run-in. Left Emmanuel Clayeux for €155,000 in May. Open to further improvement and very interesting. Wears hood.

Made the frame only once from 3 starts in Irish points and well beaten at Doncaster on hurdling debut in February. Easily passed over.

Well-related, expensive purchase who posted an improved effort following a break when runner-up in a Taunton bumper in April. That form is nothing out of the ordinary though, so more required now hurdling. Has had a breathing operation since last seen.

Ex-pointer who showed useful form in bumpers last season, winning impressively at Kempton and Newbury before an excellent third in Aintree Grade 2. Makes hurdling debut with yard amongst the winners and very much one to note.

Jeremy gelding. Dam unraced. Made frame both starts in Irish points (latest Mar 20). Makes Rules debut in a hot race and best watched.

Beaten only by a promising type seen to good effect from the front on second bumper start at Huntingdon in January and didn't need to improve to go one better at Fontwell (13.7f). Goes hurdling now after 7 months off and must enter the reckoning.

Showed useful form in bumpers without looking totally straightforward, including when an excellent fourth in Grade 2 event at Aintree on final outing. Interesting hurdling debutant.

Fairly useful on the Flat (stays 1¼m) for Andrew Balding but in need of the experience both starts over hurdles.

Successful sole start between the flags and made a winning Rules debut after breathing op at Ludlow in December. Shaped better than the bare result under a penalty at Southwell prior to finishing well held in the Nickel Coin at Aintree. Makes hurdles debut after 6 months off. Tongue tied.

Forecasts

Leave Of Absence (8/11), Blow Your Wad (10/3), Rambo T (7/1), Invincible Nao (10/1), Holetown Hero (14/1), Fancy Stuff (40/1), Dance At Night (66/1), Hector Jaguen (80/1), Mister Mose (100/1), Goguenard (100/1)

Verdict

LEAVE OF ABSENCE was the best of these in bumpers and makes his hurdling debut with his yard amongst the winners, so he's a very appealing candidate. Invincible Nao made all in good style at Auteuil in April and is open to further improvement for the Moores, while Blow Your Wad and Rambo T are others to take seriously given their bumper exploits.
