As good as ever last season, including a win in the 3m Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby over Christmas. Pulled up in the Grand National on final start but has a decent record fresh and could bounce back here.

Lost his way for Colin Tizzard but back to form for new stable when runner-up at Doncaster and Cheltenham in the spring. Has failed to make an impact in his 2 previous attempts in this race but he has won a good handicap over C&D before.

Made a winning start over fences at Chepstow last autumn and good fourth in the Ultima at Cheltenham in the spring. As good as ever when narrowly denied on Chepstow reappearance 3 weeks ago. Nudged up 3 lb for that but still respected.

Placed 3 times in Grade 3 handicaps last spring. Finished well behind Tea Clipper on his Chepstow reappearance 3 weeks ago but he could be all the sharper with that run under his belt.

Looked a stayer on the up when bagging small-field 25f handicaps Catterick and Wincanton at the beginning of the year but he was found out in no uncertain terms in the much more competitive environment of the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival on his final start.

Winner of a 3¼m Cheltenham handicap on New Year's Day and good second to Yala Enki in Taunton conditions chase next time. Well held in Ultima at Cheltenham Festival on final start but yard's good record in this race means it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to his best on reappearance.

Won the Silver Cup over C&D last December and also took advantage of a slightly lower mark over hurdles at Newbury (3m) in April. Another who can't be discounted assuming he's primed after a 7-month break.

Veteran with a good C&D record, winning this in 2020 and third last year. Another creditable effort over C&D when fourth in February. Closing in on his 15th birthday but no still no shock were he to go well.

Took well to chasing last season, ending his campaign with encouraging runs in Coral Trophy at Kempton and Ultima at Cheltenham Festival. Unexposed type who looks to have a nice prize in him from his current mark.

All wins on right-handed tracks, including a 4-runner 21f course handicap in March. Proved himself at 3m when second of 4 at Kempton in May but whether he can cut in a big-field handicap like this remains to be seen.

Quickly surpassed his fairly useful hurdles form with chase wins at Fakenham (21f) and Bangor (3m) at the end of 2021. Even better form when placed at Newbury and Ayr (Scottish Grand National) in the spring. Likely more to comer after only 4 starts over fences. Player.

Useful hurdler/chaser at his peak and made the most of a drop in grade when landing 7-runner handicap at Sandown in April. Looked in control until faltering on the run-in when second of 3 on his Fontwell reappearance. Opposed in this much deeper race.

Hurdles winner who confirmed more positive signs over fences when strong at the finish to score at Wincanton (25f) in March. This front-runner should be spot on for this after a creditable reappearance run over hurdles last month.

Forecasts

Tea Clipper (5/1), Our Power (11/2), Major Dundee (13/2), Annsam (7/1), Poppa Poutine (8/1), Kitty's Light (11/1), Up The Straight (11/1), Danny Kirwan (12/1), Full Back (14/1), Good Boy Bobby (14/1), Mister Malarky (14/1), Regal Encore (16/1), Rapper (40/1)

Verdict

Given OUR POWER was trapped wide throughout when fifth in the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival in March that effort can be upgraded and he's well worth another chance to shows he's a young chaser who has what it takes to win a good handicap. Fellow 7-y-os Major Dundee and Tea Clipper likely also have their best days ahead of them and are feared most.
