Claire Dyson Equine Water Treadmill Conditional Jockeys' Selling Hurdle

Off time: 13:30 | Winning time: 4m 39.20s

Floating Rock^v1¹⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Tom Midgley| T: M Walford| OR: 122| CD

2/7

Likeable type who took well to chasing initially, winning 2m novices at Southwell and Hexham. Not so good on his last 2 starts in handicaps (had breathing op after first one) and reverts to hurdling sporting a visor after a couple of spins on the Flat.

Mr Coldstone³³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Lewis Dobb⁽⁵⁾| T: C & A Pogson| OR: 122

5/1

Maiden hurdle winner in Ireland but that came back on New Year's Day in 2021 and he's gone winless since over hurdles/on Flat for Willie Mullins. Changed hands for £9,000 but offered little when tailed off at Market Rasen last month. Should make an impact in this grade though.

Form: F/0506-0

Razzo Italiano^b,t⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: K Brogan| T: G Hanmer| OR: 85

17/2

Creditable 2 lengths fourth in a selling handicap hurdle here early last month but has disappointed in a chase/twice over hurdles since (change of headgear on latest). Hard to know what to expect.

Ultimate Fame^p1¹³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-7| J: Ned Fox⁽⁵⁾| T: J Coulson| OR: 89| C

22/1

Bumper winner but it didn't really click over hurdles for Fergal O'Brien despite a brace of runner-up efforts. Offered little on her first outing for new yard at Fakenham just under a fortnight ago and hopes pinned on first-time cheekpieces sparking a revival.

Forecasts

Floating Rock (2/7), Mr Coldstone (5/1), Razzo Italiano (17/2), Ultimate Fame (22/1)

A low-key start to proceedings in which FLOATING ROCK is fancied to come out on top. Mark Walford's charge won this corresponding event back in 2020 and fit from a couple of spins on the Flat, he gets the nod to repeat the feat sporting a first-time visor today. Mr Coldstone offered little on his first start since leaving Willie Mullins recently but he rates as the obvious danger in this company.
