£40,000 5-y-o, Alkaadhem gelding. Half-brother to a point winner by Craigsteel. Dam, bumper winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 25f) Crash. Successful on last (only completed) of 3 starts in points (Dec 2021). Merits plenty of respect starting out under Rules for top yard.

Bumper winner who showed only modest form in a pair of novice hurdles for Nicky Henderson in late 2020. Off since and probably best watched.

Bumper efforts not devoid of promise and showed more than on hurdling debut when sixth at Newton Abbot in April but looks more one for handicaps in due course.

Opened his account in bumpers on first start for this yard at Worcester in August, getting first run. Showed a bit sent hurdling there (20f) next time but was pulled up back down in trip latest. Plenty to prove.

£50,000 purchase after finishing runner-up on both starts in Irish points. Proved far too head strong/ran green when midfield in a Taunton bumper on Rules debut and was still in need of the experience on Newbury hurdles debut next time. Should do better.

Fairly useful in bumpers, good second at Exeter in January, clear of remainder. Wasn't seen to best effect sent hurdling over C&D 19 days ago, losing all chance when his rider was caught napping at the start. Open to plenty of improvement.

Fair on Flat (stays 1½m) in Germany, winner when last seen in 2020. Dam, 1m winner on Flat, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler Peppercorn. Should have a future over jumps.

Unplaced in a point on debut and went backwards from hurdling debut on first run since leaving John Joseph Hanlon when sixth of 10 in a maiden at Southwell (15.8f, good) 16 months ago. Off since.

PATAILLE shaped promisingly starting out in a Newton Abbot bumper back in March and has an attractive jumps pedigree, so could well be up to making a successful debut over hurdles. Deafening Silence is a Rules newcomer to note having transferred to a top stable after winning his completed start in points, while Uncle Arthur and Beau Balko are others to consider in an open-looking novice.
