Had some fair form in France in autumn 2021 and comfortably made a winning debut for this yard in maiden hurdle over C&D last month. Needs considering under a penalty.

Out of a bumper winner and followed suit with a cosy success on debut at Carlisle. Creditable third at Wincanton next time before found out in better company at Newbury/Aintree. This level more suitable now hurdling on return.

Well held in bumper at Tipperary (18f, soft) on NH debut, weakening quickly. Off 19 months and sold from Miss Elizabeth Anne Lalor £30,000. Maiden Irish pointer, made frame last time (May 15).

Useful Flat performer for Charlie Fellowes. Well short of that level both starts over hurdles for this yard but return fourth in maiden at Worcester just about sets the standard.

£60,000 purchase after finishing third in an Irish point in May and showed plenty to work on when 15 lengths third of 10 to Keep Running in novice hurdle at this C&D (good) on NH debut 27 days ago. Should have more to offer.

Forecasts

Keep Running (6/4), Sergeant Wilson (7/4), King Ottokar (8/1), Basford (8/1), Trick Of The Tail (10/1), Gentle River (16/1), Iron D'ex (40/1), Yeomen Warder (50/1), Heros De Moutiers (50/1), Gwennie May Boy (80/1), Imperial Alex (80/1), Gingerbred (150/1), Meetmelater (150/1), King Of The Hill (250/1)

Verdict

SERGEANT WILSON looked an exciting prospect when a wide-margin winner of a Taunton bumper in March and can make a winning start in this sphere. Keep Running had a bit to spare when making a winning debut for this yard over C&D last month so must be respected under a penalty, while King Ottokar probably has more to offer given his Flat form.
