Shirley Collins Memorial Novices' Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Off time: 13:31 | Winning time: 5m 55.50s

In Rem²²⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: C Gethings| T: Mrs J Williams| OR: 120

16/1

Big improver in handicap hurdles last season and, while he signed off with an underwhleming effort at Warwick 7 months ago, he's still an interesting chasing newcomer.

Form: 111115-

Sam Barton^t²⁰¹

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: Miss E C Lavelle| OR: 120

4/1

Fairly useful hurdler/chaser who was in good form over the larger obstacles when last seen 6 months ago. Looks vulnerable to improvers, though.

Form: 443233-

Judge Earle¹³

Age: 10| Weight: 11-13| J: S Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR: 119| BF| CD

17/2

Notched a fifth win of the summer at Uttoxeter in September. Ran well on his next two outings but latest one at Warwick was rather lacklustre.

Form: 111233

Autonomous Cloud²¹³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-10| J: Adrian Heskin| T: F O'Brien| OR: 116

5/2

Winner of bumper at Exeter for Colin Tizzard and placed on each of his three hurdling outings for current stable. Rangy sort who appeals as a very interesting chasing debutant back from 7 months off.

Form: 19/332-

Art Decco²⁴⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 10-9| J: Bryan Carver| T: R Walford| OR: 101

11/1

Failed to make an impact in 3 outings over hurdles but finished with running left when fourth in a novice at Fontwell 8 months ago. Could do better still if taking to the new discipline.

Form: 494-

Barrakhov^t¹⁷⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 10-5| J: Liam Harrison⁽³⁾| T: F O'Brien| OR: 97

3/1

Off the mark at Southwell in January and ran at least as well when placed on two of his three subsequent outings. Now tackles fences for the first time after 170 days off.

Form: 5/5136-2

Easkey Lad^t¹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-3| J: Ben Jones| T: Miss R Curtis| OR: 95

11/2

Modest hurdler who has matched that form over fences and had plenty in hand when landing a 8-runner handicap at Uttoxeter 17 days ago to open his account in this sphere. Should go well again.

Form: 467431

Manothepeople²¹⁵

Weight: 11-8| Age: 7

Forecasts

Autonomous Cloud (5/2), Barrakhov (3/1), Sam Barton (4/1), Manothepeople (4/1), Easkey Lad (11/2), Kayf Hernando (8/1), Judge Earle (17/2), Art Decco (11/1), In Rem (16/1)

AUTONOMOUS CLOUD appeals as a very interesting chasing debutant and Easkey Lad is also worthy of consideration on the back of a comfortable success at Uttoxeter.
