Off time: 13:40 | Winning time: 4m 0.06s

Admiralty House^h³³

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King

7/2

Fairly useful maiden on Flat, barely stays 1½m (free-going sort), well held last time. In good hands but must settle to last out now hurdling.

Form:

Age Of Sail⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore

10/11

Fairly useful maiden on the Flat at up to 1½m, fifth of 14 in a Newbury handicap on final start for Joseph Parr last month. Tongue tie on for new yard and promising start over hurdles when second of 5 at Chepstow last week. Open to improvement.

Form: 2

Lark Lane⁴⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: R P McLernon| T: Mrs R Ford

150/1

Modest maiden on Flat, stays 1¼m, one of better efforts last time though typically looked awkward. Has left Mick Channon and certainly no banker to take to this discipline.

Form:

Tartarus¹⁸⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: Philip Armson⁽³⁾| T: Alexandra Dunn

50/1

Fair form in 3 starts on Flat at 1¼m, best effort when runner-up on debut. Sold from Paul & Oliver Cole £14,000 in May and gelded ahead of this debut over obstacles.

Form:

Trojan Horse⁶⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: Rex Dingle| T: A J Honeyball

2/1

Closely related to fair hurdler Gambol (2m-2¼m winner) and half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Guiri (21f winner). Fairly useful on Flat, stays 12.5f, won in April, creditable second last time for Charlie & Mark Johnston. Has to be considered on hurdles debut.

Form:

Volenti¹²

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: Lee Edwards| T: A West

80/1

Has one standout effort on Flat this season (modest form) when successful in 7f handicap in July. Likely up against it even if seeing it out in this sphere.

Form:

Rendition⁸⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 10-7| J: C Gethings| T: S EdmundsWS

28/1

Fair maiden on Flat, stays 1¼m, returned to form last time. Sold from Andrew Balding 24,000 gns in July and failed to meet market expectations on July's hurdles debut at Stratford.

Form: 6

Forecasts

Age Of Sail (10/11), Trojan Horse (2/1), Admiralty House (7/2), Rendition (28/1), Tartarus (50/1), Volenti (80/1), Lark Lane (150/1)

AGE OF SAIL made a promising start to his hurdles career when runner-up at Chepstow last week, and with that experience unlikely to be lost on him, he is fancied to go one place better. Trojan Horse and Admiralty House look the main dangers trying this discipline for the first time.
