Off time: 17:05 | Winning time: 3m 53.56s

Camulus¹⁸²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Jack Tudor| T: Christian Williams| BF

17/2

Runner-up sole start in Irish points and showed plenty of ability switched to Rules when fourth of 8 in a Taunton bumper in April. Bred to do better now jumping, not least when moving up in trip.

Form: 24-

Ironhill¹³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Jay Tidball⁽⁷⁾| T: A Ralph| CD

13/2

Opened his account in bumpers on first start for this yard here in August, getting first run. Showed a bit sent hurdling (20f) 13 days ago but fell away rather tamely. Entitled to do better down in trip.

Form: 43/P-317

Rare Edition¹⁷⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: B S Hughes| T: C E Longsdon| D

30/100

Runner-up on second of 2 starts in Irish points and looked a useful prospect when making a winning Rules debut in a Southwell bumper in April. Starts out over hurdles at a realistic level and has leading claims.

Form: 421-

These Happy Daze^t⁵²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Adrian Heskin| T: Mrs S Leech

25/1

Fair form over hurdles in France, best effort when third in a 4-y-o event at Fontainebleau in 2021/22. Never a factor on handicap debut at Auteuil in April and stumbled and fell at the second on his UK/stable debut at Bangor 4 months later.

Form: 53P-F

Herecomesfreddie²²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: R Patrick| T: M Scudamore

16/1

Left his low-key debut well behind when landing a Huntingdon bumper in November (13.7f), coming from well off the pace. Matched that form in a deeper race at Lingfield before shaping better than the bare result at Hereford. Not dismissed on hurdle debut.

Form: 0178-

King Of Quinta^h1¹⁴⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies

40/1

Prominent in the betting but didn't show a great deal in a Doncaster bumper on debut and fared no better in a similar event over C&D 6 months later. Makes hurdles debut in a first-time hood.

Form: 7-8

Robber's Bridge^h⁷²

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Philip Armson⁽³⁾| T: Simon Earle

125/1

Offered something to work on when fourth on Southwell bumper debut back in May but went backwards over C&D 10 weeks later. Makes hurdles debut.

Form: 49

Forecasts

Rare Edition (30/100), Ironhill (13/2), Camulus (17/2), Herecomesfreddie (16/1), These Happy Daze (25/1), King Of Quinta (40/1), Robber's Bridge (125/1)

RARE EDITION made a winning Rules debut in the style of a useful prospect in a Southwell bumper back in April, so he's a straightforward choice starting out over hurdles at a realistic level. Herecomesfreddie and Camulus head the opposition.
