French import who opened his account over hurdles at the third attempt at Les Sables-d'Olonne (17.2f, good to soft) when last seen in June. Form hard to quantify and penalty to carry on British debut, but probably the one to beat all the same.

Little show in a pair of point bumpers and similar story so far under Rules. Unless the first-time blinkers trigger dramatic improvement, he's likely to struggle once again.

Signs of ability in Irish bumpers for previous yard but shaped like a stayer on both occasions and he's probably more one for the longer-term.

Notched fourth Flat success when taking a 1¾m Salisbury handicap in June. Below par both starts since but bred to make a jumper (dam is a half-sister to a couple of winning hurdlers) and stamina won't be an issue, so he has to be of interest on debut in this sphere.

Confirmed debut promise for Stuart Crawford when making a winning start for Oliver Greenall at Hereford in February. Poor in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree on latest start but makes hurdles debut for new yard at a realistic level and he needs considering. Hood applied.

Showed plenty when runner-up in a Southwell bumper on debut in May but hasn't really gone on from that since and will need to better what he's shown over hurdles in order to play a leading role.

Successful over fences in France last November but absent since finishing down the field over hurdles the following month. Opposable on British debut.

Showed more than he did in bumpers when fourth of 10 on recent hurdles debut at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good). Still, he's probably more one for handicaps further down the line.

Half-brother to Snow Leopardess and showed plenty of ability a couple of seasons back, winner of a bumper here in March 2021. 18-month absence an obvious concern (has undergone a wind op in the interim) but he's still an intriguing candidate for this hurdles debut.

Pulled up sole start between the flags in April. With a top yard now that he embarks on a career under Rules, though, and it'll be interesting to see what the market has to say.

Three-time winner on the Flat in France but will need to leave his low-key hurdles debut effort well behind if he's to play a leading role in this contest.

Forecasts

Parramount (11/8), Donaire (3/1), Dancing Harry (9/2), Master Dancer (6/1), Baseline (16/1), Shiyrvann (28/1), It's A Good Name (28/1), Hartnoll Hero (33/1), Gone In Sixty (50/1), Milfolhas Has (66/1), Carrig Crua (80/1), Cabayo Lord George (300/1), Bumpy Evans (400/1)

Verdict

Largely consistent on the Flat, DANCING HARRY is appealing now switched to hurdles. He is making his debut in this sphere at a very realistic level and should go close provided his jumping passes the test. It's A Good Name was a decisive winner on his latest start in France and looks dangerous despite the penalty, while Donaire and Parramount both showed more than enough in bumpers to make them of interest.
