Very smart gelding who resumed with stylish win in Ormonde Stakes at Chester (13.4f) in May and better form when runner-up in the Group 1 Irish Leger 3 weeks ago. Carries 3 lb penalty but the one to beat down in class.
Progressive 3-y-o who took another sizeable step forward when easily landing Duke of Edinburgh on his reappearance. Not seen to best effect since (held up in races not run at a good gallop) but still needs to prove he's up to this level.
Veteran who has been a tremendous servant to connections, doing best work at the finish back at 10f when runner-up at Ayr a fortnight ago. Lengthy losing run though and big effort needed for it to change at this level.
Progressive 3-y-o campaign culminated with success in November Handicap (11.9f, soft) at Doncaster. Found further improvement this term, career-best when landing Sky Bet handicap at the Ebor Meeting last month, staying on well. Needs to pull out more on these terms but relatively unexposed at 1½m.
Much improved for current yard, winning Copper Horse at Royal Meeting and Old Newton Cup at Haydock before good fifth of 20 in Ebor at York. Seemed to find 17.9f too much of a test in the Doncaster Cup and better expected down in class/trip.
Always been highly-touted and finally produced sort of performance his juvenile form suggested he was capable of when second under aggressive ride in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh in May. Not in the same form since and while he's a key player on form, a couple of others are more likely.
Smart colt (beat Adayar in Lingfield Derby Trial) last spring and, with a reappearance run behind him, resumed winning ways in a Goodwood listed event (12f) in May. Well held in Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud in July and didn't do enough at Kempton to seriously fancy him.
Exceeded expectations when fifth in the Gordon Stakes and confirmed that form in no uncertain terms when a ready winner of a listed race at Windsor last month. Well worth a shot at this level.
Well-bred gelding who made the perfect start in 9-runner novice over this trip at Hamilton a month ago. Definitely more to come from him but this is a very stiff assignment.

Forecasts
Hamish (11/10), Cresta (4/1), Third Realm (9/1), Get Shirty (9/1), High Definition (9/1), Candleford (14/1), Euchen Glen (16/1), Farhan (33/1), Good Show (80/1)
HAMISH's sporadic appearances in recent seasons prevented him from reaching the top but he's still a very smart operator and is fancied to successfully concede weight all round at Group 3 level. High Definition is second choice on form but he's been more than a little frustrating, so 3-y-o Cresta is offered as the chief threat.
