Langley Castle An Outstanding Small Hotel 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Off time: 14:28 | Winning time: 4m 27.10s

Fringill Dike¹⁵³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Quinlan| T: Jedd O'Keeffe| OR: 119| CD

2/7

Bumper winner here in April 2021 and maintained 100% record at this course by landing back-to-back C&D novice hurdles in good style during the spring. Difficult to oppose.

Five Dollar Fine³³⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Danny McMenamin| T: Mrs A Hamilton

10/3

Got off mark in Irish points at the fifth attempt last October and interesting to see which way he goes in the betting ahead of this Rules debut.

Form: 3P5/31-

Ginger Pointe¹³²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Sam Coltherd| T: K Scott

33/1

Winless following 5 attempts between the flags and probably best watched starting out under Rules here.

Form: 4P26-4

Keep Coming¹⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: D R Fox| T: I Jardine

14/1

Modest form in four bumpers for Linda Perratt and hasn't shown a great deal in novice hurdles at Perth and Kelso. Still, minor place money could be within his reach in a race of this nature.

Form: 48/44-44

The Great Georgie⁷⁴⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Craig Nichol| T: Mrs J Stephen

125/1

Related to plenty of winners but cut little ice in 3 starts over hurdles in 2020 and subsequent absence is an obvious concern.

Form: 3759P7/

Fllana Bay^t1³⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-7| J: S Mulqueen| T: M A Barnes| OR: 88

18/1

Hard to warm to judged on what she's shown in a handful of appearances to date. Tongue strap applied.

Form: U-U56

Ile De Memoires^t1²⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 10-7| J: Aaron Anderson⁽⁵⁾| T: M A Barnes

250/1

Offered precious little starting out in a bumper here in June and fared little better on hurdles debut back at this course 24 days ago. Now tried in a tongue strap.

Form: 06

Rocco Molly^t1²⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-7| J: Conor Rabbitt⁽⁷⁾| T: G Bewley

150/1

Was treading water when unseating rider 2 out on hurdles debut at Perth last month and beaten a country mile over 2½m here next time. Hopes pinned on the first-time tongue strap triggering vast improvement.

Form: 0U5

Forecasts

Fringill Dike (2/7), Five Dollar Fine (10/3), Keep Coming (14/1), Fllana Bay (18/1), Ginger Pointe (33/1), The Great Georgie (125/1), Rocco Molly (150/1), Ile De Memoires (250/1)

This is best left to FRINGILL DIKE, who landed a couple of C&D novice events with plenty to spare during the spring and he should have little trouble conceding weight all round in this contest. Point winner Five Dollar Fine gets the nod for forecast purposes ahead of Keep Coming.
