33/1

Winner on the Flat and off mark over hurdles at Exeter in April. In contention for a place when carried out at Uttoxeter (20f) in July, but not in same form both starts since (had wind op prior to being tailed off latest).

Quiet Thunder⁴²

Age: 4| Weight: 11-6| J: Chris Ward⁽⁵⁾| T: Sarah Hollinshead| OR: 100

33/1

Maiden on the Flat but caused a 50/1 upset on hurdles debut at Stratford in June (left in front). Failed to repeat that effort when a remote second of 5 at Bangor last time. Others preferred on handicap bow over hurdles.

Form: 12

The Height Of Fame^p¹²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: G Sheehan| T: Kieran Burke| OR: 94| D

10/3

Has improved upped in trip this season, landing back-to-back handicaps at Fontwell (21.8f) in May. Wasn't always fluent last time but only had to be kept up to work, so she can make a bold bid for the hat-trick.

Form: UP24-11

Little Jessture^h,t³⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-1| J: Ben Jones| T: Ben Clarke| OR: 92| CD

7/2

Already a 3-time winner here this season and she posted a career best when successful in a C&D handicap last month, employing her usual hold-up tactics and always holding on. Respected.

Form: 214141

Echo Of Promise^t¹⁴⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 11-1| J: Sean Houlihan| T: P Gundry| OR: 95

150/1

Modest maiden hurdler at best in France but has shown little in her 3 British starts to date, leaving Jack R. Barber after the first occasion. Makes limited appeal on handicap debut.

Form: FFF70-F

Little Brown Mouse¹⁷⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 10-9| J: Benjamin Poste| T: A Wintle| OR: 86

100/1

Showed little in four starts over hurdles in Ireland and, after 8 months off, fared no better on her stable debut in handicap at Hereford when last seen in April. Step up in trip not enough to tempt.

Form: 0/6080-

Maroochi³⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-9| J: Harry Kimber⁽⁵⁾| T: Kieran Burke| OR: 86

85/40

Has made the frame in handicaps all 5 starts since her return, continuing in good heart when second at Worcester (20f) a month ago. Remains a maiden but looks set to give another good account.

Form: 7-34322

Blitz Spirit²³

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: Philip Armson⁽³⁾| T: Alexandra Dunn| OR: 84

12/1

Fair form on Flat in France, though shaped as if amiss on stable debut in June. Has been going the right way over hurdles since, third of 5 in novice at Stratford 23 days ago. Needs more again on handicap debut.

Form: 643

Sevenofus^t⁴²

Age: 6| Weight: 10-2| J: T Scudamore| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 76

4/1

Point winner and, with a tongue tie applied, has been placed in handicap hurdles on her last 3 outings. Can give her running again but others look stronger for win purposes.

Form: 8072-33

Baby Sham²²

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: Ben Ffrench-Davis⁽⁷⁾| T: J W Mullins| OR: 78

12/1

Fair Flat AW winner but hasn't matched that level over hurdles. Ran respectably when fourth of 7 in handicap at Fontwell (21.8f) earlier this month, but looks to face a tough task in this contest.

Form: 5036-64

Forecasts

Maroochi (85/40), The Height Of Fame (10/3), Little Jessture (7/2), Sevenofus (4/1), Davitt Road Glory (10/1), Baby Sham (12/1), Blitz Spirit (12/1), Quiet Thunder (33/1), Kalma (33/1), Little Brown Mouse (100/1), Echo Of Promise (150/1)

THE HEIGHT OF FAME has benefited from going up in trip and a switch to more positive tactics this season, winning both of her starts at Fontwell, and the 5-y-o can continue her progress back from a break and land the hat-trick. She is taken to see off the challenge of Little Jessture, who is bidding for a fourth course success of the campaign. Maroochi completes the shortlist.
