Great Character Porter Handicap Hurdle

Not out of first 2 in 4 outings for this yard, including a C&D win in July. Went down by only a neck to reopposing Misty Mani back here since. Should give another good account.

Creditable second of 9 in novice hurdle at Newton Abbot (18.5f, good to firm, 11/4) 25 days ago. Will need a bit more to defy this sort of mark but his yard's good form provides hope.

Successful handicap debut at Fakenham in May. Found out off higher marks since, leaving Dan Skelton since finishing third at Southwell in July.

Consistent in handicap hurdles this season without getting his head in front, hanging his chance away at Perth last time. Others stronger for the win again.

Reached a fair level on the Flat over the winter and has scored twice over hurdles under Brian Hughes this summer. Looked to have a bit in hand at Sedgefield last time with cheekpieces applied and 6 lb rise may not stop him if the headgear continues to work.

Poor maiden nowadays on Flat. First form over hurdles when 7 lengths third of 5 in a Sedgefield novice month but that may not amount to much and he'll need more now handicapping.

In common with a few from the yard he's been in cracking form in recent months, getting off the mark at Perth in August before edging out Good Bye over C&D 18 days later. Likely to make a bold bid for the hat-trick.

Encouraging fourth on return at Uttoxeter in July but below par twice since. Bit to prove for the time being.
