Long Stay^t1⁶⁶⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| OR: 120| D

10/3

Added to his bumper success when taking 16-runner novice hurdle at Ludlow (15.8f, good to soft) 22 months ago. Not seen since but remains open to improvement and is worth a check in the market on return/handicap hurdle debut. Wears first-time tongue strap.

Form: 62F121/

Platinumcard^t¹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-11| J: S Bowen| T: G Elliott| OR: 117| BF| D

9/5

Ayr winner (16f) in April who found a little improvement when second of 20 in handicap hurdle at Galway (16.6f, good) 17 days ago. Likely contender.

Form: 97/12-82

Well Planted⁴⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-9| J: B S Hughes| T: R M Smith| OR: 115| CD

9/1

C&D winner in June but been rather a mixed bag since and was disappointing on level at Musselburgh latest. Makes limited appeal.

Form: 13-3129

Wor Verge^p,t¹⁸¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-2| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: S Corbett| OR: 108| CD

14/1

Won twice at end of last year but seemingly went off boil thereafter and hasn't been seen since March.

Form: 211779-

Cuban Cigar⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 106| D

17/2

Well held on handicap debut at Musselburgh in March and hasn't really threatened on Flat since, below form at Hamilton 4 days ago.

Form: 522514-

Jackhammer^b²⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 10-4| J: Danny McMenamin| T: Mrs Dianne Sayer| OR: 96| CD

4/1

Won pair of C&D handicaps in the spring before scoring on level at Carlisle. Not matched that Flat form since but remains nicely treated in this sphere and must enter calculations.

Form: 93261-1

Pateen^v¹⁶

Age: 10| Weight: 10-3| J: Aaron Anderson⁽⁵⁾| T: J Bedi| OR: 95

25/1

Back to winning ways at Market Rasen in July and far from disgraced when second in Hexham handicap (16.2f, good, 25/1) latest. This looks tougher, though.

Form: 841052

Curious Times¹

Weight: 12-4| Age: 9

Forecasts

Platinumcard (9/5), Long Stay (10/3), Jackhammer (4/1), Holmes St Georges (6/1), Curious Times (13/2), Cuban Cigar (17/2), Well Planted (9/1), Wor Verge (14/1), Nayati (16/1), Pateen (25/1)

Dual C&D winner JACKHAMMER returns to hurdling off a handy mark and gets the nod in a tricky-looking handicap. Platinumcard and Long Stay head the list of dangers.
