Here's To You Hazel Peplinski Handicap Hurdle

Off time: 14:46 | Winning time: 6m 1.90s

You Name Him^p,t¹⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 12-2| J: B S Hughes| T: R Menzies| OR: 107| BF| D

5/1

Completed hat-trick between May and June and again ran well when second of 7 in handicap hurdle at Hexham (23.3f, good) 16 days ago. Handicapper probably has hold of him now but should give another good account.

Brandy Mcqueen¹¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-13| J: Craig Nichol| T: H Graham & G Rutherford| OR: 104| CD

5/1

Has improved for the step up to staying distances, already having scored over C&D and at Kelso this season. Further progress looks likely and he rates as a leading player.

Form: 7046-11

Bridge Road³⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish| OR: 98| BF

4/1

Runner-up all 3 starts this season, unlucky to bump into a well-handicapped rival at Bangor last time. No reason why he can't continue in form stepped up in trip, but others make appeal for win purposes.

Form: 558-222

Go Bob Go^p¹⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: Thomas Dowson| T: R M Smith| OR: 96| C

17/2

Finally off the mark when winning 8-runner handicap hurdle at this course (20.2f, soft, 6/1) 17 days ago, showing willing attitude. Merits consideration from 2 lb higher mark.

Form: 7-24341

Fine By Me⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 91| BF

9/4

Made winning start in handicaps at Bangor in July and ran even better than result suggests when fourth in 16-runner event at Uttoxeter 9 days ago. Expected to be bang there.

Form: 0677-14

Lockdown Leader^b1¹⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 10-3| J: Edward Austin⁽⁵⁾| T: Ewan Whillans| OR: 80

18/1

Slipping down weights over hurdles and went with no promise on chase debut last time. Quickly switches back to the smaller obstacles but still hard to fancy.

Form: P0-753P

Emirat De Catana⁵⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 10-2| J: Alan Doyle⁽⁷⁾| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 79| CD

7/1

Temperamental sort was narrowly beaten over C&D on his penultimate start but merely underline inconsistency when only fifth (good, 9/2) 57 days ago. Others preferred.

Form: 354-525

New Zealander¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 10-2| J: Thomas Willmott⁽³⁾| T: L Kerr| OR: 73

18/1

Remains a maiden after 17 NH runs. Made the placings for first time when third of 7 in handicap hurdle (12/1) at Hexham (23.3f, good) 16 days ago but still only amounts to poor form. Difficult ask.

Forecasts

Fine By Me (9/4), Bridge Road (4/1), You Name Him (5/1), Brandy Mcqueen (5/1), Emirat De Catana (7/1), Go Bob Go (17/2), New Zealander (18/1), Lockdown Leader (18/1)

FINE BY ME is still low-mileage in handicaps and shaped encouragingly at Uttoxeter last week, so is narrowly fancied to get the better of the hat-trick seeking Brandy McQueen in a competitive event. Recent course winner Go Bob Go completes the shortlist.
