Better effort in bumpers when runner-up at Carlisle in December 2019, but he was beaten a long way on debut for new yard/hurdles bow back from a lengthy absence at Uttoxeter.

Little impact in four starts between the flags and recent hurdles debut at Sedgefield was hardly encouraging. Hood enlisted.

Chased home the long odds-on Presentandcounting when upped to this trip at Sedgefield 13 days ago, in turn finishing clear of the re-opposing Longstone Cowboy. Good chance of claiming second prize here, too.

Offered precious little starting out in a bumper here in June.

Well held in Hexham bumper on debut in June and was a long way adrift of the principals when unseating rider before the second-last on her hurdles bow at Perth.

Former point winner who was a clear second to a useful type in Speech Bubble (runner-up in Grade 2 company since) on hurdles debut/sole start for Milton Harris at Newbury (20.5f, soft) in January. Ought to go one better here.

Forecasts

Victorias Peak (1/6), Bushmill Boy (6/1), Mactavish (8/1), Longstone Cowboy (50/1), Rocco Molly (100/1), Ile De Memoires (200/1)

Verdict

This should be easy pickings for VICTORIAS PEAK, who contested a far stronger race than this when runner-up on her debut over hurdles at Newbury in January and has the potential to make up into a useful recruit for the Twiston-Davies yard. Mactavish and Longstone Cowboy were a well-held second and third respectively in a three-runner Sedgefield novice last month and could be set for the same minor roles here.
