Auto Services Perth Maxus Novices' Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Off time: 14:50 | Winning time: -

Captain Ivan^p,t⁶⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 12-0| J: B S Hughes| T: L Morgan| OR: 109

12/1

Fair winner at 16f over hurdles. Runner-up on first 2 starts over fences but looked a bit of a handful when fifth of 6 in handicap chase (13/2) at Stratford (19.4f, good) 69 days ago. Best form would see him in the mix.

Castletown^b²³

Age: 10| Weight: 11-7| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 102| C

10/3

Still not one to trust fully but he has found some consistency since joining this yard, following small-field Kelso win in May a series of creditable efforts in defeat, including over C&D 23 days ago. Could make presence felt.

Form: 3-12323

Raddle And Hum^t²³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: G Sheehan| T: Mrs A Duffield| OR: 97

11/8

Placed all 3 starts since joining this yard, arguably having a bit too much use made of her when third of 10 in handicap chase at Market Rasen (21.4f, good to firm, 9/2) 23 days ago. Should go well again.

Form: 333-223

Get With It^t⁴⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: C O'Farrell| T: R Dobbin| OR: 97| CD

3/1

Didn't need to improve to finally get off the mark in 6-runner handicap chase at this C&D (good, 15/8) 40 days ago, scoring with more in hand than the ½-length winning margin would suggest. Player again from 5 lb higher.

Form: 25-9421

Lockdown Leader^p,t⁶⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 10-2| J: Edward Austin⁽⁵⁾| T: Ewan Whillans| OR: 81

15/2

Poor maiden hurdler showed a bit more when third in handicap hurdle here last time. Will need to take significant step forward to figure on chase debut.

Form: 6P0-753

Diamond Road¹¹⁶

Age: 8| Weight: 10-2| J: S Mulqueen| T: Mrs J C McGregor| OR: 66

150/1

Yet to show any worthwhile form, pulled up in handicap chase here 116 days ago. Very hard to make a case for.

Form: P6PP/0-P

Forecasts

Raddle And Hum (11/8), Get With It (3/1), Castletown (10/3), Lockdown Leader (15/2), Captain Ivan (12/1), Diamond Road (150/1)

RADDLE AND HUM again shaped well under an overly-positive ride at Market Rasen and Ann Duffield's mare is fancied to build upon a positive start for her new yard and strike. Get With It had a bit in hand when scoring over C&D last time and looks the biggest threat. Castletown can complete the placings.
