Long-standing maiden who ran one of better races under change of tactics (led) when third of 11 in handicap at Salisbury (1m) 23 days ago. Visor reached for now but draw in 11 makes things tougher.

Course winner who arrives on a long losing run but has shaped with some encouragement on 2 of his 3 starts upon joining present yard. Proved too free tackling 9.5f at Wolverhampton 17 days ago but this rates more suitable. Considered in change of headgear.

Minor promise on third of 3 starts in novice/maiden company and she showed improved form to get off the mark on handicap bow at Southwell (7f) 12 days ago, staying on to lead post. Less exposed than most and not ruled out stepped up to 1m.

Course winner who made the frame on 3 of his last 4 starts on AW earlier in the year. Fared best of those held up when fourth of 11 in handicap at Windsor (1m) on return 26 days ago and each-way claims granted good pace to aim at.

Haatef filly. Dam 9.5f-1½m winner. Minor promise on 2 of her 3 starts in AW maiden/novice events at 7f and improvement not ruled out now handicapping with the step up to 1m likely to suit.

Dark Angel gelding who offered a modicum of promise in pair of novice events earlier in the year and he ought to strip fitter for first starts for 4 months on qualifying run over C&D 18 days ago. Pedigree an ongoing recommendation and handicaps more suitable now.

Cashed in off reduced mark to open his account in a C&D handicap back in December. Record mixed on AW/turf subsequently though, last of 13 in handicap at Chepstow (8.1f) in June. Given a break since.

Pivotal gelding who finished well held in handful of AW sprint novice/maiden events for Joseph Tuite during 2020/21. 19 month absence to overcome now handicapping for new yard but it would look significant if market vibes around him proved positive.

Remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs but shaped better than distance beaten suggests when fourth at Lingfield (1m) 2 starts back. Failed to build on that (fitted with visor) at Yarmouth 2 weeks ago but no forlorn hope in refitted cheekpieces.

22/1, below form third of 7 in minor event at Chelmsford (1m) 14 days ago, shaken up under 3f out and plugging on. That was his first start for 4 months but he'll need to step up plenty on that to figure.

Winless for Karl Burke/Edward Bethell and below form on debut for present yard when sixth of 9 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f) back in April, going off too hard (reportedly bled). Others preferred back from a break.

Forecasts

Dewey Road (5/2), Zealot (10/3), Costa Adeje (5/1), Tea Garden (13/2), Florence Street (8/1), Aiguillette (10/1), Busselton (16/1), Broughtons Flare (16/1), Just Albert (18/1), Photo Bomb (22/1), Purple Paddy (25/1), Fast Beauty (40/1), Tenth Century (50/1), Kharshuf (66/1)

Verdict

This looks decidedly trappy and with that in mind it could pay to side with previous course winner DEWEY ROAD. He needs forgiving a lesser effort at Wolverhampton 17 days ago (raced too freely) but he's now operating from a career-low mark and, having not shaped up badly previously for his present yard, a better showing is anticipated. Costa Adeje, Tea Garden and Busselton head up the dangers.
