Fairly useful 10f Flat winner for Andrew Balding who showed a bit in a couple of novice/maiden hurdles. Underwhelming handicap debut at Worcester a couple of months ago but not written off after a break/wind op with tongue tie now fitted.
Useful on the Flat (stays 1½m) and has showed encouragement on both hurdling outings. Needs to settle better, but certainly has the potential to be ahead of this opening mark.
Sprang a surprise when making a successful start for this yard at Newton Abbot in September but has been out of form since, including on the Flat.
In fine form last month, runner-up at Worcester prior to bagging handicaps at this course and Market Rasen. This struggled off this mark twice since, however.
In good form, once more doing little wrong when fourth at Uttoxeter last time. Cheekpieces could bring about some improvement and he's likely to be on the premises.
Fair on the Flat for Andrew Balding and already a dual winner in juvenile hurdles. Gets a generous amount of weight for age, and may do better still, so boasts leading claims.
No show on the Flat and it's been a similar story over hurdles, so hard to make any sort of case for.
Winner at Newton Abbot in September. Ended the season out of sorts, though, and was pulled up at Uttoxeter on reappearance a couple of months ago.

Forecasts
Captain Square (7/4), Tarseem (5/2), Karannelle (9/2), Canal Rocks (6/1), Snug As A Bug (15/2), Al Zaraqaan (17/2), Cadeau D'Or (10/1), Borak (28/1), To Dream (100/1), Bryanwood (100/1)
CAPTAIN SQUARE is already two from three over hurdles and can do better still, so he makes plenty of appeal taking on older rivals now switched to handicaps. Al Zaraqaan's Flat form gives him the scope to be better than a mark of 104, so he's considered a major threat. Tarseem is also considered.
