Got going all too late when fifth of 14 in Summer Plate at Market Rasen (21.4f, good to firm, 25/1) last month. Remains fairly treated but been some time since he scored over fences.
Been given some respite by the handicapper but isn't the most reliable, pulled up at Uttoxeter when last seen in June.
Won Exeter handicap in October before running a creditable third in listed mares' event at Market Rasen on her next start. Been generally disappointing since, though.
Smart hurdler who has proved useful at best over fences. Never really threatened last term but has been cut plenty of slack by the assessor and could be interesting first time up after a wind operation. Wears first-time tongue strap.
Back to winning ways when taking 5-runner handicap chase at Southwell (25.8f, good, 10/3) in May. 3 lb rise fair and must enter calculations. Wears blinkers for first time.
Followed hat-trick in March/April with a pair of creditable runner-up efforts and back to best when second of 7 in handicap chase at Bangor (24f, good, 10/1) 19 days ago. Warrants respect.
Good third of 11 in hunter chase at Cheltenham on sole start for Miss Hannah Lewis but made little impact, back with current yard, in Uttoxeter handicap last month.
Heavily campaigned since joining this yard and finished well held in weaker contest at Bangor last time.
Added to his fine course record when close second of 6 in handicap chase (23f, good to soft) 27 days ago. Races off same mark again and is one for the shortlist.

Forecasts
Oscar Montel (15/8), Grand Sancy (7/2), Peregrine Run (5/1), Red Happy (13/2), Bbold (12/1), Irish Prophecy (14/1), Organdi (20/1), El Paso Wood (20/1), Cheltenam De Vaige (22/1)
OSCAR MONTEL goes particularly well here and gets the vote in a tricky-looking handicap. Bbold rates the principal danger, whilst a market move for the well-handicapped Grand Sancy could prove significant.

- Bbold12/1
