Improved when landing a 16.2f maiden here in June and subsequently found just one too good on handicap bow back at this course. Still has low mileage, but more needed now upped in trip if he's to defy what looks a pretty stiff mark.
Back to form with cheekpieces enlisted the last twice, going close at Uttoxeter prior to resuming winning ways at Bangor (19.6f, good) recently. Remains on a good mark up 4 lb and should be in the mix if able to hold it together jumping-wise.
Off the mark over fences at Wincanton in February. Disappointed at Stratford next time, but step back in the right direction when third of eight returned to this sphere for new yard at Market Rasen (16.6f, good to firm) and he's not without hope.
Snapped a long losing run when cosily accounting for 10 rivals at Sedgefield (21.2f) at the end of January. Not disgraced off this mark in a higher-grade handicap over this C&D last time, but looks vulnerable for win purposes. Cheekpieces refitted.
Dual winner of novice events last year and posted his best effort of 2022 so far when runner-up off this reduced mark over 16.2f here (good) 17 days ago. Step back up in trip no bad thing and makes some each-way appeal.
Back on the scoresheet here (16.2f) in June and struck again in a C&D handicap the following month. Below par on his last two starts, though, and consistency evidently isn't his forte.
Opened hurdles account in a maiden at this course last year, but well held latest start in this sphere at Kelso in April and arrives here on the back of an inauspicious display on the Flat.
Point winner who failed to make an impact in a trio of maiden hurdles for this yard in January. Subsequent efforts over fences for Liam Lennon were equally underwhelming, but worth a second look now pitched into a handicap back over hurdles having rejoined Gordon Elliott.
Bagged a Musselburgh handicap off 1 lb lower in February and there was promise in his latest hurdles effort at Cartmel (2¾m, good). Since acquitted himself well on the Flat and very much one to consider over what is arguably his optimum trip.
Opened his account off this mark in a C&D handicap last spring and, following an unsuccessful stint over fences, he has made the frame on his last two completed starts back in this sphere. Couldn't rule out.
Left previous form in this sphere well behind when landing back-to-back 2m Ffos Lad handicaps in May/June. Clear of the rest when runner-up over the same C&D last time and this step up in trip could help eke out a bit more now tried in cheekpieces.
Successful between the flags in 2019, but lion's share of his efforts under Rules (all over fences) have been underwhelming and he's not easy to make a case for now switched to hurdles.

Forecasts
Reddys Island (15/8), Finisk River (4/1), Pilgrims King (8/1), Idilico (17/2), Copperwell (17/2), Shaws Bridge (12/1), Bellaney Gem (14/1), Malangen (14/1), Red Missile (22/1), Nebuchadnezzar (25/1), Kajaki (25/1), Nabraska (80/1)
IDILICO could be the answer to what looks a very competitive handicap. He shaped better then the distance beaten at Cartmel last month and his subsequent effort on the Flat was pretty encouraging, too. Pilgrims King came up short when bidding for the hat-trick at Ffos Las, but he lost little caste in defeat and is feared most with this stiffer test likely to bring about some improvement. Recent Bangor winner Finisk River and Shaws Bridge are others to consider.
