C&D winner in April. 5/2, respectable third of 6 in handicap at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) 26 days ago. Clearly effective here (form figures at Musselburgh read 3152) and should give it a good shot eased slightly in grade off the same mark.

Forecasts

Primo's Comet (11/8), The Thin Blue Line (7/4), Firebomb (5/1), Tanasoq (13/2), Duke Of Firenze (25/1)

Verdict

The vote goes to PRIMO'S COMET, who signalled that his turn was near when going close over C&D late last month and was arguably unlucky not to get his head in front at Doncaster next time. Jim Goldie's charge is taken to register a sixth C&D success. The Thin Blue Line wasn't beaten far in Class 3 company at Hamilton last time and is clear second choice ahead of the veteran Duke of Firenze.
