Mucuna⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 11-5| J: Bradley Harris⁽⁷⁾| T: M F Harris| D

5/2

Modest Flat winner who took her hurdle record to 2-3 when just holding on at Newton Abbot 9 days ago. Another prominent showing looks assured.

Form: 121

Dicktate¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: James Davies| T: R A Teal

25/1

Modest form on balance in various events on Flat. 19¾ lengths third of 6 to Captain Square in juvenile at Newton Abbot (17f, good) on hurdle debut 19 days ago so he'll need to improve to turn the tables.

Form: 3

Fast Style^p³⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: C J Todd| T: S Allwood

50/1

Fair on Flat for Roger Charlton but made an inauspicious start to his hurdle career when pulled up at Aintree last month. Now refitted with the cheekpieces he wore when gaining his Flat win.

Form: P

Mutara^t²⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: David Bass| T: S Curran

15/2

Fair maiden on the Flat, posting creditable runner-up efforts in 1¼m handicaps on his last 2 starts. Respected on hurdle debut.

Form:

Rolypolymoly²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: Ben Ffrench-Davis⁽⁷⁾| T: A West

10/3

Fair maiden on the Flat. Hampered and finished with running left when sixth of 7 in handicap at Salisbury 28 days ago. Could play a prominent role on hurdle debut.

Form:

Shipton Moyne²³

Age: 3| Weight: 11-0| J: Harry Bannister| T: R Bandey

7/2

Poor form on the Flat but sprung a 20/1 surprise on her Market Rasen hurdle debut 23 days ago, beating the reopposing Mucuna by 4½ lengths.

Form: 1

My Rosa's Gold^p²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 10-7| J: David Noonan| T: N J Hawke

80/1

Poor maiden on Flat (stays 1m). Hurdle debut. Others preferred.

Forecasts

Mucuna (5/2), Rolypolymoly (10/3), Captain Square (7/2), Shipton Moyne (7/2), Mutara (15/2), Dicktate (25/1), Fast Style (50/1), My Rosa's Gold (80/1)

The 3 previous hurdle winners in this line-up don't set the bar that high so it might be worth chancing one of the jumping newcomers, with MUTARA getting the nod having been knocking on the door on the Flat in recent weeks. Captain Square can chase him home.
